FOOTBALL & CHEER

Our Story

Brief History of the Wildcat Program.
We began in 2005 as the Kearsarge Wildcats, formally Sunapee Pop Warner.  Formed in conjunction with Snowbelt and GSFL leagues by the same group of people. Finding the balance between competition and overall experience is something we review year after year to ensure the players are enjoying the sport and continue to develop their skills.

Kearsarge Wildcat Youth Football & Cheer is the only youth football and cheering organization in the Kearsarge School District an surrounding towns for elementary & middle school aged kids. Our goal is to teach and promote the values of teamwork, effort and commitment through football. We reinforce these values with a "kid centered" environment that is safe and well supervised.

Wildcat Football and Cheerleading is a non‐profit 501(c)3 organization providing youth athletic opportunities. Participation is NOT dependent on ability to pay. Scholarship information is available.

Football is about teamwork, effort and commitment.

Players are taught to tackle players of different sizes, speeds and abilities (form tackling).
Players are also taught how to protect themselves and the ball when being tackled.
Practice drills are typically set up with similar sized players.

Coaching Safety

All coaches are required to be certified through the "Heads Up" USA Football program. USA Football developed Heads Up Football specifically to meet the needs of player safety.
